$6.75m Series A for SAM Labs

publication date: Nov 30, 2017

SAM Labs, a developer of wireless electronic kits for schools founded in 2014 by a group of Imperial College graduates, has closed a $6.75m Series A round, led by Touchstone Innovations and E15 Ventures. The London-based company’s STEAM Kit provides a full range of resources for teachers to deliver computer science lessons in their classrooms, including cross-curricula lesson plans, schemes of work, and teacher support material, as well as the technology itself.

SAM Labs plans to use the new investment to fund the development of new coding and STEM-focused products, and to continue developing its partnerships with government organisations like the City of Helsinki and the UAE Ministry of Education, as well as companies like Microsoft Education and Intel Education.
