Following the sale of its US business, ABC Learning Centres has simplified its management structure to reflect the fact that the majority of its business operations are in Australia and New Zealand. As a result, Martin Kemp has stepped down as CEO of the Australian and New Zealand business, and Eddy Groves – ABC’s beleaguered but surviving CEO – is taking over the reins.

ABC has also sold its 18.8% stake in the Australian toy wholesaler Funtastic for A$14.5m (£7m) as it continues to reduce borrowings.
