Education Development International has announced plans to transfer all of ASET’s back-office functions to EDI’s offices in Coventry. ASET – the accredited vocational awarding body – was acquired by EDI in November 2007 for a total consideration up to £2.9m. The transfer of functions will lead to the closure of ASET’s York office and a scaling down of its Macclesfield base.

EDI has also announced that a significant contract with annual sales of £900,000 will not be renewed when the contract ends this September. This represented just over a third of the company’s on-line testing business in 2007.
